Course Goal
The aim of this course is to improve the English listening and speaking abilities of college students.

Policy Regarding Attendance
Attendance is required and absences must be excused. This means that students are required to attend class. Please inform your instructor if you know beforehand that you will not be able to attend class. In case of emergency or sickness, inform the instructor in writing during your next attendance. Absences without legitimate excuse will affect your final grade.
Late attendance for class will also be counted against you, and points will be taken off your attendance and participation grades.

Evaluation
You will be evaluated on your attendance, participation in class, class activities and assignments, and examinations.
Attendance: 10%; Participation: 10%; Class Assignments: 10%; Class Activity: 20%; Examinations: 50%.
